Dig and Clean Beginner Guide

Everything you need for a strong first session in Dig & Clean.

The core loop in one minute

Dig & Clean is a treasure-hunting simulation. You detect a buried spot, dig it up with a shovel, spray the dirt off to reveal what it is, then sell the find for Gold or display it in your museum. You spend Gold on better shovels, detectors, and spray bottles — then hunt for rarer treasure. The loop is continuous.

Your first 15 minutes

  1. Equip your detector and follow the signal to a buried spot.
  2. Switch to your shovel and dig the spot fully.
  3. Switch to your spray bottle and clean the find to reveal it.
  4. Sell the find at the shop for Gold (or keep rare ones for your museum).
  5. Buy the next shovel tier the moment you can afford it.

What to buy first

Shovel first (dig power), then detector (luck and range), then spray bottle (cleaning speed). This order matters — see the gear priority page for the full ladder.

Early mistakes to avoid

  • Upgrading your spray bottle before your shovel — dig power is the real early bottleneck.
  • Selling a rare find you should have kept for your museum.
  • Walking the map without a detector equipped, missing buried spots entirely.
  • Spending all your Gold and leaving nothing in reserve for the next shovel tier.
