Clean everything before you judge it
A muddy lump can hide a rare find. Never decide sell vs. keep until the dirt is fully off — spray every dig until the item is revealed and you can read its rarity and value.
How to clean fast
- Keep your spray bottle on an easy-to-reach hotbar slot (slot 2 next to your shovel).
- Aim so the spray covers the whole find — higher range cleans a bigger area at once.
- Hold spray until the dirt meter is empty and the item is revealed.
- Read the value, then sell or display immediately.
When to upgrade cleaning gear
Only spend Gold on a better spray bottle or pressure washer when cleaning speed is genuinely the thing slowing you down — usually mid-to-late game when your shovel and detector are already strong. Early on, your gold is better spent on the next shovel tier.
Skip the wait entirely
The Instant Clean game pass (249 Robux) removes the cleaning animation so finds reveal instantly. If cleaning is eating your session and you don't mind spending Robux, it's the most direct fix.
Common cleaning mistakes
- Selling a find before fully cleaning it and missing a rare reveal.
- Overspending on spray power early when your shovel is still weak.
- Leaving dirty finds stacked up instead of cleaning them as you dig.
